What makes your treatment approach effective Robert?
I have invested in the latest and very best techniques to provide my clients with the most advanced care.
I use a system of assessment and treatment for a healthy integration and functioning of the neuro-muscular-skeletal system. Restoring the body to homeostasis making it easier for the body to function optimally and decreasing the possibility of problems occurring in the future.
Form and function are very important. If the form is not correct then it won't function correctly. Also the same can be said that if the function is incorrect and not working then the form will be out of alignment. I work from this principle to correct the mechanical functioning of the body.
I know what to look for and how to treat what I find. Trust what works!
Tell me a little more detail.
I look at the whole person. I evaluate and assess their posture and function. I want to find the source of the problem and not just put a "Band-Aid" on it. From here a treatment plan is made. Using a variety of techniques that I have integrated into my practice I will treat the viscera (internal organs), cranium (the bones in the skull move), joints in the spine and extremities (I use different approaches than the chiropractic high-velocity adjustment technique) and soft tissue.
To enhance results each person is given a sequence of Muscle Balance and Function Development (MBF) exercises specific to their needs and goals. These neuromuscular postural retraining exercises are updated as I see changes to the person's posture. Posture is dynamic and changes can be made even in your 90s.
Why does this approach work?
Neurological irritation in the viscera, cranium, spine and muscles can cause large postural distortions and pain. By reducing the neurological irritation throughout the body, balance and harmony can be reached with a minimal of energy expenditure. With this there is less wear and tear on the whole system.
The body's systems are so interrelated and interconnected that it is impossible to isolate one alone. It is therefore reasonable to expect that an improvement in one area can lead to an improvement in another.
If you are interested in posture or understand its importance in functioning optimally then you need to see me for your personalized MBF System program. This is to retrain your core (intrinsic) muscles so that you can be strong and then go out and do the activities you desire.
Anything further?
Occasionally I see the need to refer a person to another health care professional that may be an expert in their field, in this case I enjoy communicating and working as a part of your health care team.
